Valley Crossing - Ratnagiri

Valley crossing event was organised by Ratnadurg Mountaneering Association (Ratnagiri) and Nature Knights.

Hanging on a rope at 200 ft high, with rocks and sea below, and moving over 600 ft of distance was quite an experience.

Ratnagiri is 380 kms south of Mumbai, accessible by rail and road.

Unlike photographs from earlier camps/treks/adventures, these photos look a little biased as most of these are our own photos :-)

We reached the previous night. The night's halt was organised at the Bhagwati fort. Ratnadurg mountaneering association's three day camp was already underway. On the day of the event, before we set out to the venue (which is about 5 kms from fort) we explored in and around of the ruined Bhagwati fort.
